Strengthen community-business partnerships
Promote mentoring strategies that work across identity group lines
Create awareness with Foundations to recognize and support the needs of emerging community groups
Challenge established professional organizations to welcome and utilize the talents and contributions of underrepresented groups in their communities
Reduce the fear of newcomers by targeting stereotypes that frustrate collaboration and productivity
Increase the cultural competencies of youth workers to resist "single-issue activism" that might create divisive, dysfunctional identities
Motivate bilingual/bicultural community leaders to create a climate for student success and leading positive change
Inspire young people to reject rejection and unleash their potential through reading and success in education
Assist communities to reduce violence and gang activity through youth activities and community homework centers
